Watercolour winter scene painting course

Come and join me from the comfort of your home via Zoom for a 3-week watercolour painting course.

We will be painting 3 different beautiful winter scenes - 1 each week. 

This class is suitable for all levels.

If you wanted, you could then turn your paintings into handmade Christmas cards to surprise your family with.

Each week I will take you through how to do your drawing, prepare your paper, and how you can paint the subject.

If you can't make the class live, I record it, so you can catch up in your own time (video is available to all class members). We also have a friendly supportive Facebook group where you can share your paintings and chat with the other class members. I've been running Zoom watercolour classes over the last two years and have found they work really well for teaching, as you can see exactly what I'm doing in detail, as I talk you through it, and you can watch it again from the recording if you want to repeat it.

I've been using watercolours since I was a child and have been teaching art classes for nearly 5 years now. I believe that everyone can make art and I love passing a love of painting on to others. So if you’d like to join me I will be running my Watercolour class on Friday mornings from 11th November from my art studio at home (in Hertfordshire, England) and we will create some lovely Wintery paintings.

This course is suitable for adult artists (and children aged 13+ years if supervised by an adult at all times).

These virtual, paint-a-long lessons will run via Zoom every Friday morning for 3 weeks. *You have the option to join live from wherever you are or watch the recording anytime during the following 4 weeks.

During the 3 weeks, you will cover the following:

• How to sketch out your painting and prepare your surface before applying paint
• How to plan your composition
• How to build up a painting in watercolour
• How to paint snow
• How to make a picture your own
• Shading and other techniques
• Watercolour hints and tips
• I will talk through the different materials used
